INVISALIGN® LITE AT CDS
Invisalign® Lite is part of the innovative Invisalign® system in which invisible aligners are used to create beautiful, straight smiles. Invisalign® Lite is a light invisible braces system, with treatment usually complete within 20-30 weeks.
Invisalign® Lite is designed to correct minor orthodontic problems affecting the teeth at the front of the mouth.
Benefits of Invisalign® Lite
Invisalign® Lite has many of the benefits of traditional Invisalign:
- Invisible braces: no one will know you are having treatment.
- Comfort: the aligners are custom-made for the individual, comfortable and there is no need for painful adjustments.
- Increased flexibility: the aligners are removable and can be taken out to eat, drink and for special occasions.
- Better oral hygiene: the aligners can be taken out to brush and floss your teeth; there are no wires or brackets to trap food or bacteria.
Invisalign® Lite also works quickly, most patients only need between 10 and 15 aligners and treatment is often complete within 30 weeks.
Stages of treatment
This involves a consultation with one of our Invisalign® dentists, in which we take impressions of your teeth and perform an examination to ensure you are suitable for Invisalign® Lite.
This involves making impressions of your teeth and taking photographs, which will be turned into 3D models. The images and moulds will be used to plan your treatment pathway.
The aligners will be manufactured according to the treatment plan, with each aligner fitting slightly differently to encourage the teeth to move.
The aligners are returned and fitted. Each aligner is to be worn for 2 weeks and then replaced. You must wear each aligner for the minimum of 22 hours each day to ensure best results. You should take your aligners out to drink, eat and maintain good oral health.
